Its a keeper
the filter though even though washable you have to replace it within 8 or 12 months or sooner which was 15.00 for another one in 2013. Uses belts for the underneath brush but most of them do and is bagless so you dont have to buy a lot of bags to emtpy the dirt out. We ordered the above blue looking one but they send you one that looks like this another Maxima with a clear canister instead. Eureka has many styles of Maxima and Optima that all look just like this so make sure you find the differences between all the Maximas before ordering one somewhere made by Eureka to be sure you're getting the one you want and the one you order and they arent sending you a lower model for a higher price or not the one you really wanted. Many of the Maximas and other all for substantially different prices really do all look the same. Often the optimas that look like this one too have more floor height adjustments than the maxima like over 10 or something. Their 12 amp moters may be the same motors...
