Chantal is a line of coated steel that is of exceptional quality and at a terrific price level. It competes well with stainless and also with cast iron, depending on your requirements or tastes. It acts like non-stick. It works with all cooktops inclduing induction. Highly recommended.

Best cookware ever.
I've tried several types of cookware. I had complete set of Corningware but didn't like the performance. Ditto a set of aluminum non-stick.
I decided to bite the bullet and get myself a few pieces of high end cookware. I couldn't afford the really, expensive stuff. I wanted performance but also easy clean up. And I wanted lids where I could see what was cooking.
I bought a few pieces of Chantal and I love it. The enamel coating is easy clean, the steel is high performance and the glass lids are both stylish and allow me to see what's cooking. And mine are interchangeable to several pieces. My favorite pieces are a small saucepan, a fry pan and this pot for stock and soups. I also have the tea kettle. I went through several tea kettles and this one looks great, boils fast, pours great and there is a whistle to remind me when it's on the boil.
You can't go wrong with any piece from Chantal.
